Job Description:

Terma Inc, a US subsidiary of Denmark-based Terma A/S, is seeking a Senior Hardware Design Engineer to join its dynamic team in Warner Robins, GA. The company has established a strong presence in the aerospace, defense, and security sectors, providing mission-critical solutions to the US DoD, Homeland Security, and major Aero/Space Prime Contractors for over 30 years. The role involves participating in the development of next-generation Airborne Defensive Systems within a rapidly growing product development team.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in development projects for next-generation Airborne Defensive Systems.
  • Analyze design requirements from a system and hardware perspective.
  • Debug complex circuits and document findings with solutions.
  • Promote technical solutions across different projects and ensure consistency in hardware design.
  • Support Project Managers in hardware planning and component selection.
  • Work with suppliers to build, test, and qualify circuit boards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in research, design, development, and testing of systems and components.

Skills:

  • Experience in circuit design and simulation (Analog and Digital).
  • Proficiency with schematic capture tools (preferably OrCAD/Cadence).
  • Ability to develop automated self-checking test benches and verify HDL code.
  • Knowledge of FPGA architecture and high-speed digital signal integrity.
  • Familiarity with video and avionic interfaces, including 1553 and ARINC.
  • Experience with EMI design and testing to MIL-STD-461.
  • Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail.
