Electrical ASIC/FPGA Engineer II [Onsite]

Collins Aerospace, a leader in aerospace and defense solutions, is seeking a motivated Electrical or Computer Engineering candidate for a position focused on the design, implementation, verification, and integration of high-performance digital ASICs and FPGAs. This role is based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and requires U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a government security clearance.

Responsibilities:

• Support requirements capture and ASIC/FPGA digital architecture.
• Implement ASIC/FPGA digital design using RTL.
• Support verification and system integration of ASIC/FPGA implementations.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
• 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships).
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance.
• U.S. citizenship required.

Skills:

• RTL coding and simulation in VHDL, Verilog, or SystemVerilog.
• Experience with ASIC and/or FPGA design tools (e.g., Modelsim, Quartus, Vivado).
• Debugging and root cause investigations on hardware using schematics and digital lab equipment.
• Understanding of digital circuit architecture and resource tradeoffs.
• Familiarity with signal processing and/or information assurance.
• Experience with simulation & analysis tools (e.g., Matlab, Simulink).
• Knowledge of revision control concepts and tools (e.g., Git, Subversion).
