Job Description:

Honda is seeking a Design Research Senior Engineer to join its CoE Division, focusing on market and consumer trends in North America. The role emphasizes innovation and aims to align with Honda's vision of achieving a zero environmental footprint while enhancing mobility. Candidates should possess a strong work ethic and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct market sensing for North America and extract emerging technologies.
  • Summarize and correlate findings with internal stakeholders.
  • Propose and execute advanced research initiatives using Agile methodologies.
  • Manage technical project resources and maintain knowledge of state-of-the-art principles.
  • Develop new technology research themes for Honda's technical strategy.
  • Build relationships with research partners, industry experts, and policy leaders.
  • Identify root causes of complex technical problems and develop solutions.
  • Document findings in emerging technologies to enhance technical capabilities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in science/engineering research.
  • 5+ years of experience in digital chip architectures, benchmarking, and open-source IP/ISA.
  • Familiarity with CPU, GPU, NPU, FPGAs, SoCs, and Assembly language.

Skills:

  • Passion for research and problem-solving.
  • Ability to learn and apply new principles to design challenges.
  • Knowledge of Agile processes and methodologies.
  • Experience in designing experiments to test hypotheses.
  • Strong communication skills for conveying research concepts.
  • Ability to analyze data scientifically and manage project schedules and budgets.
