Job Description:

Lockheed Martin Space is seeking an experienced ASIC/FPGA Verification Engineer to join their Silicon Solutions team, focusing on the development of advanced avionics products. This full-time position is based in Sunnyvale, CA, Denver, CO, Highlands Ranch, CO, or Littleton, CO, and requires on-site work with a flexible 9x80 schedule. The role involves working with low SWaP, radiation-hardened devices in a high-performance computing environment, contributing to the verification lifecycle from requirements capture to testing.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform all aspects of ASIC and FPGA verification throughout the lifecycle, including requirements capture, architecture, design, analysis, simulations, and testing.
  • Support technical reviews and present findings to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Interface with an independent verification team working in parallel to verify designs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science or higher in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
  • 5+ years of professional FPGA development experience.
  • Experience with modern verification methodologies such as UVM, OVM, or VMM.
  • HDL programming experience with VHDL, Verilog, and/or SystemVerilog.
  • Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.

Skills:

  • Experience in the ASIC/FPGA lifecycle including architecture, design, simulation, verification, validation, integration, and testing.
  • Knowledge of space-grade/qualified FPGAs and ASICs, and toolsets such as AMD/Xilinx Vivado or Microchip Libero.
  • Experience with electronics design and lab integration/troubleshooting activities.
  • Familiarity with project management tools like MS Project and JIRA.
  • Experience mentoring junior engineers.
