Job Description:

Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. is seeking an engineer to integrate flow automation for chip design, focusing on data processing and analysis. The role involves developing CAD tools and software to enhance design efficiency and collaboration within SoC teams. The engineer will execute design and verification strategies for ASICs, SoCs, and IP cores, while also supporting innovation in integrated circuits.

Responsibilities:

  • Integrate flow automation for chip design using data processing techniques.
  • Develop CAD tools and software for design and automation.
  • Improve cost and time efficiency for SoC and core teams.
  • Execute architecture and design of specific blocks according to protocols.
  • Resolve architecture, design, or verification issues with supervision.
  • Write basic tests and regressions to identify bugs in work.
  • Run power checks on specific blocks under guidance.
  • Interpret performance check results and report to team lead.
  • Support innovation in ASICs, SoCs, and IP cores.
  • Write, review, and edit technical documents as per requirements.
  • Communicate significant deviations from the Plan of Record to the lead.
  • Participate in design reviews and project meetings.
  • Provide input for process and procedural improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with five years of progressive experience.

Skills:

  • Expertise in ASIC engineering practices.
  • Proficiency in CAD tools (e.g., Cadence, RTL Compiler).
  • Strong data processing and analysis skills.
  • Ability to write and execute tests and regressions.
  • Effective communication skills for team collaboration.
