Job Description:
Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a highly skilled ASIC/FPGA Design Engineer to join their Silicon Solutions team, focusing on the development of advanced avionics products. This full-time position is based in Sunnyvale, CA, Denver, CO, Highlands Ranch, CO, or Littleton, CO, and requires a flexible 9x80 work schedule. The role involves working in a dynamic environment dedicated to innovation in space technology.
Responsibilities:
- Develop ASIC and FPGA designs from initial requirements through architecture, design, analysis, simulations, and testing in a Linux-based environment.
- Work with low SWaP, radiation-hardened, space-rated devices.
- Support technical reviews and present findings to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with an independent verification team to ensure design integrity.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science or higher in Electrical Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of professional FPGA development experience.
- US Citizenship required to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
Skills:
- HDL programming experience with VHDL, Verilog, and/or SystemVerilog.
- Experience in the ASIC/FPGA lifecycle including architecture, design, simulation, verification, validation, integration, and testing.
- Knowledge of space-grade FPGAs and ASICs, and familiarity with toolsets like AMD/Xilinx Vivado or Microchip Libero.
- Experience with project management tools such as MS Project and JIRA.
