Job Description:

Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. is seeking an experienced engineer to oversee the design, verification, and documentation of mixed-signal integrated circuits in Power Management, focusing on controller ICs and high-current power stage circuitry for various applications. The role involves determining IC architecture, engaging in all design flow aspects, and ensuring high-quality layout execution and silicon characterization.

Responsibilities:

  • Define and design complex IC blocks and subsystems for power management ICs.
  • Own the design and verification strategy for assigned blocks, including controller circuitry and power stage interfaces.
  • Guide layout engineers to produce high-quality layouts and conduct physical verification of circuits.
  • Perform advanced functionality and performance checks to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Interpret simulation and silicon characterization results, driving corrective actions as needed.
  • Document design intent, architectural decisions, and silicon findings for PMIC subsystems.
  • Collaborate with validation, test, and product engineering teams for silicon bring-up and characterization.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and apply insights to future designs.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to other engineers.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with 6+ years of relevant experience, or
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with 4+ years of relevant experience, or
  • PhD in Electrical Engineering with 2+ years of relevant experience.

Skills:

  • Expertise in power electronics, control theory, and mixed-signal circuit design.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Cadence ADE, Spectre, MATLAB, and Verilog.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently on complex design issues.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for conveying technical information.
