Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and execute validation plans for serial communication protocols (I2C, SPI, QSPI).
- Perform hardware and firmware debugging on complex PCBs, isolating issues across interfaces and system interactions.
- Utilize lab instruments (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters) to measure electrical characteristics and verify signal integrity.
- Validate signal timing, waveform quality, noise, and bus behavior for robust communication.
- Develop and maintain validation tools and test frameworks across multiple platforms (Linux, Windows, RTOS).
- Collaborate with firmware teams to test low-level device drivers and ensure proper functionality.
- Conduct cross-platform debugging and ensure hardware-software integration.
- Automate validation workflows using scripting (e.g., Python) for efficient testing and data analysis.
- Generate detailed test reports, validation matrices, and defect logs to track issues and resolutions.
- Support ongoing product validation cycles and regression testing in lab environments.
Qualifications:
- Strong experience validating serial communication protocols (I2C, SPI, QSPI).
- Proficiency with hardware lab equipment (Digital Storage Oscilloscopes, logic analyzers).
- Experience in cross-platform environments (Linux, Windows, RTOS).
- Understanding of microcontroller architecture and embedded peripheral driver concepts.
- Programming skills in C/C++ for embedded systems and scripting expertise (Python).
- Excellent debugging and analytical skills with a structured approach.
