Job Description:

Join RTX, a leader in aerospace and defense, as a Senior Principal Electrical or Computer Engineer in Fort Wayne, IN. This role focuses on the design, development, and integration of advanced digital ASIC and FPGA solutions for next-generation applications, contributing to critical Mission Systems programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Capture requirements and design ASIC/FPGA digital architecture.
  • Conduct RTL development, timing analysis, verification, and system integration.
  • Drive continuous improvement in ASIC/FPGA design processes.
  • Contribute to engineering estimates and technical planning for new programs.
  • Plan and execute project-level work to meet schedule, cost, and performance objectives.
  • Provide technical leadership to project design teams, coordinating activities and reporting status.
  • Support cross-functional collaboration throughout the development lifecycle.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in STEM with 10+ years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree with 7+ years of experience.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance.
  • Hands-on experience with RTL design using VHDL and/or Verilog.
  • 5+ years of experience in digital circuit architecture and timing analysis.
  • 5+ years of experience in developing RTL verification testbenches using VHDL or SystemVerilog.
  • Proficiency with ASIC/FPGA simulation and synthesis tools.

Skills:

  • Leadership in cross-functional engineering teams.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience with Unix/Linux environments and scripting languages.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard ASIC/FPGA tools like ModelSim, Synplify, Quartus, or Vivado.
