Job Description:

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor validation progress and review Contract Manufacturer (CM) test reports.
  • Analyze failures and coordinate with Electrical Engineering (EE) design partners to resolve issues.
  • Guide CM engineers on measurement procedures and perform hands-on Power Integrity (PI) and Signal Integrity (SI) debugging as needed.
  • Track validation progress, maintain issue tracking, and communicate risks and status updates.
  • Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and provide technical guidance on validation processes.
  • Validate measurement setups and troubleshoot complex hardware issues.
  • Characterize DC-DC converters and validate power sequencing and stability.
  • Perform high-speed interface validation for various protocols while analyzing signal integrity and timing issues.
  • Review PCB schematics and layouts to support debugging and design testability improvements.
  • Collaborate with firmware, layout, and hardware teams for successful hardware validation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) or Master of Science (MS) in Electrical Engineering.
  • 4+ years of experience in Electrical Engineering (EE) hardware validation, focusing on Power Integrity (PI) and Signal Integrity (SI).
  • Proven ability to analyze test data and drive issues to closure with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in reviewing test reports for correctness and identifying gaps.

Skills:

  • Strong hands-on measurement skills in Power Integrity (PI) and Signal Integrity (SI).
  • Ability to develop clear technical documentation and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Strong schematic reading skills to trace signal paths and understand power distribution.
  • Experience with high-speed interface validation protocols such as MIPI CSI, SPI, I2C, I2S/PDM, USB, and UART.
