ASIC DTCO, Timing and Technology Engineer

Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. is seeking a DTCO and Timing Engineer to join its Engineering Group, specifically within ASICS Engineering. This role is crucial for conducting DTCO analysis across Mobile, Compute, Automotive, and IoT markets, utilizing advanced process technologies from 5nm to 2nm and beyond.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct DTCO analysis for SOC products at block/IP-level and system-level.
• Perform Spice simulations for power and performance validation and STA sign-off.
• Execute block-level PPA analysis/implementation from RTL to GDS flow for hard macros.
• Collaborate with foundry DTCO teams, EDA partners, CAD teams, and IP teams to drive Fmax optimization and cost improvements.
• Enhance design convergence processes and support new advanced process technologies from PDK to VLSI design.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field with 4+ years of relevant experience; OR
• Master's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field with 3+ years of relevant experience; OR
• PhD in Science, Engineering, or related field with 2+ years of relevant experience.

Skills:

• Proficient in programming languages such as Python, Perl, TCL, Unix shell, C/C++.
• Experience with Spice simulation tools (Hspice, Finesim, PrimeSim, AFS, Spectre).
• Knowledge of FC Synthesis, FC Place and Route, Genus, and Innovus.
• Familiarity with ML modeling is a plus.
