Job Description:

Join Texas Instruments as a Digital Design Engineer, where you'll develop innovative digital IP integrated with leading analog technology to create advanced Sensing IC solutions. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with top industry talent from concept to product release, contributing to high-volume applications in a collaborative environment in Dallas, Texas.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle the complete digital design flow (frontend and backend).
  • Design logic circuits using System Verilog/Verilog for various applications including FSMs, digital signal processing, communication interfaces, and power management.
  • Develop HDL test benches and design models for verification purposes.
  • Execute backend flow steps: Synthesis, Place and Route, Post-Timing Analysis, ATPG, etc.
  • Simulate behavior/RTL/gate level designs.
  • Design for testability and generate functional and production test vectors for Scan Testing.
  • Translate specifications from System Engineers into design requirements.
  • Analyze chip architecture trade-offs for performance and cost efficiency.
  • Guide physical designers and monitor IC layout progress.
  • Collaborate with test and product engineers to ensure design-for-test standards are met.
  • Work closely with analog designers to define functionality and behavior.
  • Maintain and extend digital flow and evaluate new EDA tools.
  • Participate in design reviews and create necessary documentation.
  • Characterize prototypes and coordinate with test/product engineering for product releases.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Thorough understanding of digital logic design.
  • Familiarity with Verilog language and simulators.
  • Good understanding of analog functionality and exposure to analog IC design methods.
  • Systematic problem-solving skills.
