Job Description:

Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join its Engineering Group, specifically within the DSP Architecture and Design team. The role involves designing and developing embedded platform software for CPU, DSP, and NPU processors, contributing to Qualcomm's innovative Snapdragon SoC portfolio. The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise in embedded software and high-performance microprocessor design to optimize software for multimedia and machine learning applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop multi-processor multimedia and AI frameworks across CPU, DSP, and NPU.
  • Create high-performance drivers and runtime libraries to maximize DSP and AI hardware capabilities.
  • Profile and optimize system performance, focusing on low latency and low power consumption.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate design trade-offs and integrate custom features.
  • Integrate and test software on target devices, supporting commercialization efforts with global teams and OEM partners.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field with 2+ years of relevant experience; or a Master's degree with 1+ year of experience; or a PhD in a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in high-performance microprocessor design.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in C/C++ programming and real-time operating systems.
  • Experience in driver development and computer architecture.
  • Strong understanding of multi-core, multi-threading, and caching mechanisms.
  • Familiarity with PCIe or Windows MCDM/WDDM driver stacks is a plus.
