As a Senior Staff Electrical Engineer at Boston Dynamics, you will be instrumental in advancing the Atlas humanoid robot by integrating high-performance wireless connectivity and ensuring electromagnetic compatibility within complex electromechanical systems. Your role will involve hands-on work, from building and debugging prototypes to validating fully integrated robots, while leading the design of electrical schematics and layouts that incorporate various components, including radio modules and antennas. You will manage the EMI/EMC and RF validation lifecycle, contributing to regulatory compliance and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize radio and antenna performance in challenging environments. With over 7 years of experience in designing PCBAs with wireless communications, you will leverage your expertise in RF fundamentals and EMC mitigation strategies. Proficiency in Linux, scripting, and PCB fabrication will be essential, along with a strong educational background in Electrical Engineering. Mentorship of junior engineers and the development of comprehensive design documents will also be key aspects of your role.
