Job Description:

Amazon LEO is a groundbreaking initiative aimed at enhancing global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit. The mission focuses on providing fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities worldwide, thereby bridging the digital divide for consumers, businesses, and government agencies.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop the Customer Terminal (CT) architecture in collaboration with sub-system engineers across various disciplines.
  • Create validation plans, build validation infrastructure, execute testing, analyze data, and report results to stakeholders.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to investigate and resolve validation failures.
  • Ensure that delivered work meets technical, functional, performance, regulatory, and business requirements.
  • Conduct in-field and on-orbit validation with satellites.
  • Travel up to 10% of the time based on project phases.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, physics, or a relevant engineering discipline.
  • 3+ years of experience in satellite terminal development, integration, and validation.
  • Strong understanding of communication systems, RF, and antenna technology.

Skills:

  • Experience with networking fundamentals and hands-on experience with load balancers, switches, routers, etc.
  • Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, or C++.
  • Familiarity with test instruments such as spectrum analyzers, vector signal analyzers, channel emulators, and GNSS emulators.
