Job Description:

SEAKR Engineering is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join their team, focusing on advanced electronics for space applications. The role involves developing and refining digital designs, leading a design team, and ensuring technical interfaces with customers throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop new architectures and refine existing ones for complex digital designs.
  • Lead a design team from initial specifications to hardware delivery, including box, module, and board-level designs.
  • Conduct detailed reviews of engineering designs and approve engineering drawings.
  • Oversee hardware checkout and validation in a lab environment, including full system integration and environmental testing.
  • Perform digital board design, including schematic capture, design documentation, and hardware verification.
  • Debug issues in the lab using tools like bench supplies, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers.
  • Provide technical oversight across multiple functional disciplines, ensuring designs meet customer requirements.
  • Support the full program lifecycle, including environmental qualification and acceptance testing.
  • Lead technical discussions during major program reviews such as SRR, PDR, CDR, MRR, TRR, and PSR.
  • Contribute to reviews of FPGA, software, and mechanical designs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required; Master's degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of design experience in relevant fields.
  • Extensive knowledge of circuit design and signal integrity.
  • Experience leading module debug and integration into systems.
  • Familiarity with environmental test methods and worst-case analysis.

Skills:

  • Strong leadership and mentoring abilities for less experienced engineers.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Experience with digital and/or RF electronics design, FPGA design, and embedded systems.
