Job Description:

Join Apple's Digital Custom Group (DCG) as an SRAM Circuit Designer, where you'll be part of a world-class silicon design team responsible for creating innovative solutions for Apple's flagship products, including the M1 chip. This role is pivotal in transforming imaginative ideas into reality, influencing the design of CPUs, GPUs, SoCs, and more, while ensuring quick delivery of high-performance products to millions of customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement custom digital circuits for SRAM design.
  • Collaborate with the logic/architecture team to formulate design specifications.
  • Define architecture and topologies optimizing for power, timing, area, and yield.
  • Conduct schematic capture, simulations, analysis, and margin verifications.
  • Perform functional equivalency and DFT modeling.
  • Work with the layout team to create optimal GDS.
  • Verify extracted GDS meets design specifications.
  • Conduct backend verification, including IR/EM analysis.
  • Write RTL, validate use-cases, and verify against design schematics.
  • Support post-silicon efforts to enable productization.

Qualifications:

  • BS degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience within a SoC design cycle, developing circuits and SRAM/Register File for low power, low voltage, and high performance.

Skills:

  • Knowledge of Cache design/architecture and memory hierarchy.
  • Working knowledge of RTL modeling.
  • Solid understanding of industry-standard design tools.
  • Deep understanding of nanometer device physics and leakage mechanisms.
  • Ability to devise experiments and analyze data for silicon debug.
  • Familiarity with Machine Learning algorithms and scripting.
