ForwardEdge ASIC, a Lockheed Martin company, is enhancing domestic ASIC capabilities for commercial, defense, and security customers by delivering innovative microelectronics solutions. We are looking for talented Analog Layout Engineers at various experience levels to join our team and contribute to building a better tomorrow.

Responsibilities:

  • Design complex layouts for mixed signal and analog circuits in deep sub-micron CMOS technologies.
  • Review and analyze floorplans and complex circuits in collaboration with circuit designers.
  • Plan work and negotiate layout tradeoffs with circuit designers.
  • Interpret LVS, DRC, and ERC reports to optimize layout completion.
  • Utilize advanced CAD tools and mask design knowledge to ensure robust layouts that meet performance, area, and power requirements.
  • Implement analog layouts to achieve attributes like tight matching, low noise, and low power consumption.
  • Conduct custom and standard cell-based floor-planning and hierarchical layout assembly.
  • Manage IR drop, RC delay, electromigration, self-heating, and coupling capacitance.
  • Recognize and prevent failure-prone circuit and layout structures.
  • Apply analog and DFM best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in analog integrated circuit layout at an appropriate level.
  • Knowledge of deep sub-micron CMOS technologies.
  • Experience working closely with circuit design teams.

Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
  • Proficiency in advanced CAD tools and mask design.
  • Ability to interpret technical reports (LVS, DRC, ERC).
  • Understanding of analog layout techniques and best practices.
