ASIC Test Development Engineer

Cisco is seeking an ASIC Test Development Engineer for a hybrid role based in San Jose, CA. This position is integral to the ATE test bring-up process, collaborating with various teams to ensure effective testing and production of ASIC units.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with ASIC design teams and Test Engineers to support ATE test bring-up.
• Partner with Cisco ASIC team to characterize units and release test programs to production.
• Support pattern generation and debugging, identifying gaps in test coverage.
• Design and implement new tests to enhance coverage.
• Manage high-volume manufacturing tests and quality issues with Tier-1 OSATs.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering/Computer Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of experience in SOC/VLSI bring-up, production, characterization, and test engineering.

Skills:

• Proficient in Advantest 93000 tester or similar ATE testers.
• Skilled in programming languages including C, C++, Java, PERL, and Python.
• Strong knowledge of DFT insertion techniques such as Scan, ATPG, JTAG, MBIST, PVT, and SerDes.
• Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities.
