Job Description:
Annapurna Labs, a leader in hardware/software co-design within Amazon Web Services (AWS), is seeking an experienced CPLD/FPGA Firmware Engineer to join its ML Acceleration Server Firmware team. This role focuses on developing firmware for power sequencing and control systems for ML Acceleration servers, ensuring high performance and reliability in diverse environments.
Responsibilities:
- Develop CPLD and FPGA programs for power sequencing and protocol management (PWM, I2C, SPI).
- Create systems software and drivers.
- Define test and automation flows for firmware validation.
- Evaluate and optimize firmware performance.
- Build error detection and recovery systems at AWS scale.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of professional software development experience.
- 2+ years of design or architecture experience for new and existing systems.
- Experience programming with at least one software language.
- 3+ years of experience with hardware description languages (HDL).
Skills:
- Proficiency in C/C++ for embedded development.
- Experience in RTL development using Verilog, VHDL, or SystemC.
- Familiarity with automation, continuous integration, and fleet metrics.
