Job Description:

The Network Switch Group at Broadcom specializes in developing advanced networking switch ASICs and multi-die solutions for AI data centers, focusing on high-performance L2/L3 routing and switching. The group’s products manage extensive traffic bandwidths, supporting a variety of networking protocols and high-speed interfaces.

Responsibilities:

  • Bring up new versions of silicon upon arrival.
  • Characterize silicon interface protocols and timings such as I2C, SPI, PCIe ver 5, and MDIO.
  • Test silicon across various environmental scenarios, including voltage and temperature variations.
  • Write Python 3 scripts to automate and streamline silicon qualification testing.
  • Operate and maintain lab systems and testing equipment.
  • Develop methods for robotic handlers to expedite testing processes.

Qualifications:

  • MSEE with 10+ years of experience or BSEE with 12+ years of experience, focusing on digital design with excellent academic standing.
  • In-depth knowledge of IC technology and ASIC design flows.
  • Thorough understanding of high-speed Ethernet networking, IETF RFC protocols, and CPU I/O bus technologies.

Skills:

  • Strong proficiency in scripting languages such as Perl, Python, and C/C++.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
