Senior ASIC Design Engineer – Hardware

Job Description:

NVIDIA is seeking exceptional ASIC Design Engineers to design and implement leading SoCs and GPUs, impacting various product lines from consumer graphics to self-driving cars and AI. This role offers the chance to work in a dynamic, technology-focused environment with a global team dedicated to pushing the boundaries of computing.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement GPU sub-system modules as a key member of the Design team.
  • Make architectural trade-offs based on features, performance requirements, and system limitations.
  • Develop micro-architecture, implement in RTL, and deliver a fully verified, synthesis/timing clean design.
  • Support post-silicon validation activities.
  • Collaborate with architects, designers, verification teams, and back-end teams to achieve project goals.

Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree (or equivalent experience) in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience in ASIC design and development.
  • Experience in micro-architecture and RTL development of complex designs in Verilog.
  • Exposure to Digital systems, VLSI design, Computer Architecture, Computer Arithmetic, and CMOS transistors and circuits.
  • Understanding of ASIC design flow including RTL design, verification, logic synthesis, prototyping, DFT, timing analysis, floor-planning, ECO, and lab debug.

Skills:

  • Knowledge of PCI-Express (Gen 3 and above) or CXL protocol is a plus.
  • Experience in Python, Perl, and C/C++ programming languages is desirable.
  • Strong debugging and analytical skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a desire to work collaboratively.
