Senior Principal ASIC Implementation Engineer

BAE Systems is seeking a Microelectronics Hardware Engineer to join our team in Manassas, Virginia. This hybrid role combines collaborative in-person work with independent tasks, focusing on the development of advanced ASICs for the aerospace and defense sectors. Responsibilities:

• Develop advanced ASICs for various applications including commercial, civil, and national security missions.
• Engage in the full hardware development lifecycle from concept to deployment.
• Collaborate with team members on physical design, synthesis, and constraints.
• Utilize tools for static timing analysis, EMIR, and layout (DRC/LVS).
• Contribute to electronic warfare technology for enhanced situational awareness.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
• 8+ years of industry experience in ASIC development.
• Current Security Clearance (Secret) or eligibility to obtain one.

Skills:

• Experience in ASIC implementation including physical design and static timing analysis.
• Proficiency in revision control systems (git, cvs, clearcase, perforce).
• Scripting skills in TCL, Perl, or Python.
• Familiarity with Linux or Unix systems.
