Job Description:

MaxLinear is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to support the development of advanced Integrated Circuits (IC) for communication infrastructure and consumer applications. The role involves working with Digital Signal Processing (DSP) systems, modem technology, and embedded firmware, while also defining design verification test plans and supporting Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) development. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in digital communications and experience in lab testing and debugging.

Responsibilities:

Support the development of state-of-the-art Integrated Circuits (IC) for Cable and Communication infrastructure and consumer applications.
Engage with advanced Digital Signal Processing (DSP) systems and sophisticated modem technology.
Define and develop design verification test plans and test programs for new IC devices.
Support the development of Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) and necessary test criteria for production testing.
Provide hardware and software customer support.

Qualifications:

Knowledge of Digital Communications theory, DSP algorithms, and OFDM modulation/demodulation techniques.
Experience in C / Matlab or similar programming languages.
Proficiency in at least one scripting language (PYTHON, PERL, TCL); Python expertise is preferred.
Experience in lab tests, measurement, and debugging device issues; high-speed testing (SERDES) experience is a plus.
Hands-on experience with Oscilloscope, Spectrum Analyzer, and VNA is advantageous.
Self-motivated with effective communication skills in a fast-paced environment.
Board-level design and analysis experience is a plus.
BS in Electrical Engineering or related field with 3 years of experience, or MS.
