Job Description:

BrightAI is a rapidly growing company specializing in AI, IoT, Cloud, and Mobile technologies, seeking a Hardware Engineer to join its innovative team. The ideal candidate will contribute to the design and development of next-generation hardware and software systems, playing a crucial role in transforming business operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Define and capture hardware system features, functions, and interfaces.
  • Lead the entire lifecycle of hardware projects from conceptualization to production.
  • Specify and present proof-of-concept hardware.
  • Collaborate with domestic and international suppliers.
  • Establish and uphold company-wide hardware development processes adhering to industry standards.
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues in mechanical and electrical components.
  • Create and maintain circuit schematics and PCB layouts using Altium or Cadence.
  • Facilitate the initiation of new circuit boards with ARM CPUs and MCUs.
  • Develop and execute hardware verification test plans.
  • Contribute to board support packages for Linux OS.
  • Innovate electrical architecture solutions for project requirements.
  • Design, model, simulate, and verify analog and digital circuits.
  • Optimize PCB layouts for high-speed buses.
  • Support software engineering in development and troubleshooting efforts.
  • Travel as necessary for hardware bring-up and customer support.
  • Fulfill other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Over 7 years of hands-on experience in circuit board design.
  • Knowledge in embedded system design, testing, and firmware development.

Skills:

  • Strong skills in analog and mixed-signal circuit design and simulation.
  • Experience with camera sensors and digital interfaces (MIPI, USB, I2C/SPI, etc.).
  • Regulatory experience with FCC and PTCRB certifications.
  • Familiarity with electronics test instruments (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, etc.).
  • Proficient in Altium or Cadence for PCB design.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient soldering skills with IPC610 certification preferred.
  • Familiarity with Linux operating system and software testing.
