According to sources, chipmaker Qualcomm is laying off today a few dozen of employees in the company’s development center in Israel. The layoffs are part of a worldwide cutback of 15% of its total work force that was announced by the company in July 2015 to help the company save $1.4B.
The company could not be immediately reached for comment.
In December 2014 Qualcomm closed its operations center in Beit Shemesh and laid off 30-40 employees. The facility was based on the activities of start-up ISkoot acquired by Qualcomm in 2010 for 80 million.
